An organically grown Chinese green tea crafted using Japanese-style steaming and rolling techniques. Its flat, glossy leaves produce a beautifully fresh cup with vibrant grassy notes, a crisp body, and a clean finish with gentle astringency.

Light and refreshing, this Sencha is an excellent everyday green tea with a bright character that can be enjoyed hot or iced.

BREWING

Tea: 1 teaspoon per cup
Water: 165°F
Steep: 1½–2 minutes

Avoid boiling water to preserve the tea’s fresh, delicate character. The leaves can be steeped more than once, adding a little extra time with each infusion.

TAKES ME BACK TO MY YOUTH!

This tea had a very earthy taste to it, what I call a Japanese taste. When I was a child I used to pour a very similar tasting tea over a bowl of rice and made a Japanese version of hot cereal. Until I did the same with your Sencha, I had not realized how much I missed this. Thank you Coachella Valley Coffee for a great tea!
